Rings for the pistons are also made by C&A,and are of tool steel variety
The crank..yeah the crank..Ya know i was worried stiff that it had been
ruined when the old motor let go.No such thing.It checked out as new!
BRC makes for some tough cranks in my book,thatīs for sure
As some of you might remember tho,it was only internal balanced at the
flywheel end.This time out that was about to change.

We then took a look at my trusted Carrillo rods.
Old motor blew in hole Nr8.Thing is that rod Nr6 turned out to be a little
bit bent.Funny..Must have sent stuff into orbit in that blast the old motor did
Anyways,we corrected that(Bending Carrillos is TOUGH work btw.Phew..)
and started to check dimensions out on the rods.They were all as new too!

In the process (or hysteria more like it)when the old motor blew,i managed to ruin
my flywheel.A new one had to be found.Finding stuff like that over here is easier
said then done.Trust me on that!After a lot of calls we finally dug one up
A Quartermaster engineering 109 tooth for our 7 1/4" clutch.
So off the reciprocating assy went off to the balance guy.
