Arsenalen
- Arsenalsgatan: An establishment with cheap beer and some food capabilities... small place, closes "early", after work beer place. (Kai)
- Our 'home' pub...Yes, the beer is cheap and so is the food, but it tastes wonderful. Calm and intimate place where you can talk to each other without any difficulties. Please avoid the 'vulture bench' in the corner, that's our seats...grr,grr... Oh, I nearly forgot, please kiss the cook. He will appreciate it, I hope...(Stefan)

Bäckahästen
Are you like me. Starting to get old and getting a headace from todays techno music. Then try out Bäckahästen at Kungsgatan (by Hötorget). It is a Pub/Bar, Nightclub. The beer is at typical Stockholm prices (about SEK 40-5 ). If your there to late you have to pay an entrance fee of about SEK 60. Well inside they have a restaurant that until 9 o´clock sells food from SEK 39, if you are hungry try it, during that time, the beer of course is cheaper. They have two bardisks and one dancefloor. On the dancefloor the is mostly from the 70's and 80's Enjoy it. (Micke)

Galway's
- Kungsgatan: It claims to be an Irish pub, lots fun people(they serve Guinness and Kilkenny though, that's Irish enough for me) Dart throwing in the back. Late Fridays or Saturdays.. u wont see riverdance here.. :-) more like disco/pop music. (Kai)
- A big nice so-called Irish pub. There is a dance floor where Irish music is yet to be played :-). But the songs they play have a wide range and are OK. I recommend to use the bathrooms only in case of emergency. The guys are in the ages of 20-30.(Johanna)
Gamla Stans Bryggeri
Gamla Stans Bryggeri is one of Stockholm's micro breweries with their own beer in the taps.. (its not too bad :-) The pub/restaurant is located in the old customs house 2 (from an earlier age when there where more customs inspections etc) Go there to taste the beer and check out the brewery equipment. (Kai)
Gilda
Its a very nice place if your wallet is a little bit fat. You can get a beer for 46 sek. They play very good dance music If you go there don't put on to much clothes, It can get pretty hot in there. You can find this place at birger jarlsgatan (stureplan)! (Kimpa)
Gökboet
An ordinary Swedish pub with happy hours from 1700 to 2100. A beer costs 28 SEK during HH, otherwise its 36 SEK. You do have the meal alternative... they call it a "Skrovmål", its large portion of very good food and with that comes a 'free' beer. The price is only 69 SEK for it all.(Micke)
Half Way Inn
Swedenborgsgatan 6, My absolute favourite amongst all Stockholm's waterholes is this little pub situated near Mariatorget. It's just a little local pub but the staff is friendly and the food superb. My recommendation is to come here Friday or Saturday when they have the downstairs lounge open. To sit there and watch the walls filled with items from Scotland, eating fish 'n chips and with a large glass of cider really makes my heart sing. Home sweet home!!! (Krille K)

Krönet
On top of Götgatsbacken is this pub/bar situated. They have a nice atmosphere, can get really crowded and many tables are reserved for dinner guests until 22.00, I like the beer on tap and the food is good and plentiful but then again.. you pay for it :-) (Kai)
Kings Head
No comments... Do visit our homepage here. (Anders)
La Cucaracha
A restaurant/pub in spanish style. The food is good, especially the small plates of tapas. For 30 kr you can try different spanish plates. I recommend everything that´s "con ajillo". Garlic!!! Spanish/latin music. A minus that they don´t play much salsa anymore.
Try the wine of the house or a San Miguel. (Marika Andersson)Back to top
Landbyska Werket
Birger jarlsgatan, have heard they've got a dancefloor but I haven't seen it yet. The food is really great and very affordable. The beer is not to expensive either and it is relatively easy to order (no big queue). Somewhat Spartan in the furniture style if you know what I mean but enough for the After-Work-Beer-With-The-Boys...(Jonte)

London New York
If you get there early you wont have to stand in queue. The place is divided in two sections. One with really loud music and a dance floor. And a food and Pub part. Where they serve Guinness, Beamish, Boddington, Newcastle among others. The girls are between 18- 25. The staff is quite pleasant. If you don't think the the beer tastes right, then you often get another one for free. (Niklas)
O'Learys
Götgatsbacken, O'Learys is a sportsbar with their own little gambling den in the basement. Lots of TV screens and good selection of beers make this place a favourite place to go to when there's a national hockey game on TV or so.. (Kai) A sport bar with a pretty decent range of beer and drinks. TV's everywhere, you can dine in front of a wide-screen telly. Downstairs there is another bar and games, like pin-ball.(Johanna)
Olsagbar
Olsagbar a small pub at Upplandsgatan (I think its 7 or 8) Upstairs the seats are made of woodchopping logs, downstairs they got there dancefloor. Two nights a week (among them Fridays or Saturdays) they play very nice 60's and 70's rock 'n roll. The other nights its a very special kind of spaced out space techno. The most important thing is that the upper bar serves Jever Pilsner on draught. If you haven't tried it you haven't tasted a real beer. (Micke)

Pig & Whistle
Pig & Whistle at Medeborgarplatsen on Söder is an outdoor pub which is great on a
sunny day. Lots of people and decent prices on the beer makes this a place where
the people meet and sit down in the sunshine and enjoy a beer or two! (Kai)

Soldaten Svejk
This pub was crowned pub of the year 97 by some beer society!
Östgötagatan/Folkungagatan. A Czech restaurant/pub with excellent food and beer. Bohemia, Purkmistr, Urquell and Staropramen among many others on draught. Why not try the breadcrumped cheese? A tip: Be there early in the evening to get a seat. Me? I'm already on my way to Prague... (Stefan)Back to top
Sloppys
Berzelii park, Hey, this place is the MEATMARKET spelled out with very capital letters. VERY crowded and pretty expensive but kind of nice anyway. Lots of girls (19-27). Good food if you are there before 19 (after that it is usually so crowded you don't get to order). Music type is the standard softdisco - pop stuff, i.e Wham, Madonna and Aqua... Oh, yeah its open all night... (Jonte)

The Cage
- The Cage: Nice and cool place where you can chill with your friends. Nice bar, good music and lots of SWEET, HOT AND SEXY GUYS!! (Karla)
- Kornholmstorg, a bar/disco with rock music. Kind of dark and cavy. They have a small but usually packed dancefloor. (Martin D)

The Copys
This place is real small. The dancefloor is about the size of a standard dinner table and the bar is VERY hard to get to if you are under 7 feet tall. BUT the food is really great (a little expensive but who cares after a beer or two) and the music is usually real good. The place lives on old reputation (the good old' AC/DC days) but still have much to offer. Summertime's there is a good outdoor serving facility... Happy hour exist but not for very long... Oh yeah, you'll find it on Sturegatan pretty close to "svampen, Stureplan". (Jonte)
The Dubliner
Smalandsgatan (Norrmalmstorg)
- A genuine Irish Pub with a great atmosphere. The best place in Stockholm if you like Irish music. Irish bands play live seven days a week. (Henrik H)
- Woo Woo Been there, done that, going back tomorrow!! As stated above.. its has a great atmosphere. It is crowded! People standing on the benches and singing along.. having a laugh and drinking some great beers... what else is needed? Go there on a Saturday! (Kai)
- THE DUBLINER ..is the cosy, crowded place called, where they always have live Irish bands playing. The atmosphere is incredible and the people is friendly. Have a beer and listen to classics as "Dirty old town"! BUT beware of the drunk blondes or they'll smash your head with their uncontrolled arms when they're dancing! (Johanna)

The Loft
Tight, Irish and often loaded with people in every ages whose only interest is having a good time with an excellent pint on their side. Guinness, Boddingtons among many others on draught with Carlsberg as the Lager brand on draught. A great place to be but watch out for the red-haired waitress, she's dynamite in many ways.... (Folke Pudas)

The Londoner
Karlavagen:
- Small place but with a nice atmosphere. If you are hungry ,try the burger. You will not be disappointed. (Uttern)
- Do NOT forget the dartboard and as the previous speaker/writer stated: THE BURGER IS FANTASTIC! You won't leave hungry! Often the second cellar/basement/whatever is closed since it is mainly a after-work-pub but when it is opened visit downstairs (here is the Dartboard!!!!!) quite cosy...(Jonte)

Tre Backar
Tegnérgatan 12-14.
Great, intimate place where you can have your Guinness for 35 SKr until 8 o´clock in the evening. Good food and nice service. Live music downstairs several evenings in the weeks. The inner room have an large library at your service if your friends fall asleep or are too boring...(Stefan)
Tudor Arms
- A typical English pub. Actually the first English pub to open in Sweden (back in 1969). They serve 5 sorts of draught beer and they are not too expensive. Like the English pubs it is open between 1700 and 2300 hrs. (Micke)
- We went here to have a few beers.. (Guinness and Kilkenny as usual) It was crowded and small but the people was friendly so no elbowing was necessary :-) no food was available (only peanuts) after 21.00 hrs. Nice staff and none asked for age or anything.. (Kai)
