After a few months of agony, we were able to see eachother again for the holidays. Marcus didn't feel well when he arrived, but we went to dinner anyway to celebrate my best friend's graduation. Christmas was wonderful. We were too poor to afford a real tree (they were all covered with ice anyway) so we got the K-Mart blue light special. We decorated it together, and Marcus let me open my presents early. (Isn't he sweet?) Christmas Day was spent at my grandmothers with my family where we all exchanged gifts and had dinner. I think he missed his family, but I am really happy that he decided to be with me.
It seems like every time Marcus is around, my family has a crisis. This time, my grandmother became very ill and had to go to the hospital with double pneumonia. Marcus was also "under the weather" with an ear infection. All the chaos prevented us from taking very many photographs. This kind of put an end to the holiday, but it brought us closer together and made me much more appreciative of what I have.
