remma christian fellowship

We went to a church outside Kampala for young people, like orphans, and ministered to them. We worshipped together with them for a while and then did some skits and songs, and some of us shared. We also spent some time praying for everyone there. It was good times. Wonderful young people and cute little kids!

new year's

On the evening of the 31st we went to a stadium where a 24 hour prayer meeting was held. It was not so much praying but rather various performances and speakers. There were heaps of people which was really cool but after a while when this one speaker had spoken for a looong time and we couldn't quite understand the translation it got a bit boring. So around 11 pm we decided to leave and right then a South African guy was speaking on stage. As we are making our way out he starts talking aobut this song they sing in South Africa that says "Hold on to Jesus" and we all go "no way", "are you kidding me?!" - and he starts singing Bambalehla! We were really excited.

After that we went to a huge church and watched the fireworks at 12 pm there before going to Namirembe to participate in their New Year's service. They got us up on stage to dance with the youth choir (fun), then we did "Holy is the Lord" (first time to perform it and it went really well) and the Chair skit.

I never wrote about this, but a picture says more than a thousand words, eh?
