Benjie led worship for 45 minutes with Laura singing, Matt on bass and Rick on drums. After that Emily shared about what happened yesterday when she prayed for a lady, and then people in the congregation came up and shared their testimonies. Then Laura sang a song, Michèle took up the offering (really good) and then it was time for Bishop Matt to preach (that's our own Matt Schipper folks!). He did it really well, speaking on knowing God and having a personal relationship with him.

our first crusade

We went out to the house of a woman called Remmi, where we had pork and yummy African food and fellowship before going to the field where the crusade was. At the crusade we checked our program and what we had felt we should do and prayed. We ended up doing basically all of our stuff, with different people sharing and explaining after each skit. At the end, Benjie did a short preacing and then invited everyone who wanted to accept Christ to come up. We estimated at least 100 people, mostly children, up the front accepting Jesus into their lives! We then went around praying for them. It was all very exciting.

crusade up the road

monday night
We walked up to the place where the crusade was held, which was nice. We spent the first hour or so playing with the little kids there, while they were worshipping and dancing on stage. We did some of our skits and stuff and Grace shared after Life and also did the altar call.

wednesday night
The atmosphere at the crusade was different this time. Several of us felt that there was something spiritual going on but we didn't know exactly what it was. When we got up on stage and did our skits and things and shared after them, we found it really difficult to get the crowd's attention, and that spiritual thing was identified as a spirit of distraction. We prayed against it, finished our program, and left.
