BE VERY SURE you know how to diagnose the infection before attempting this removal. 

DO NOT use the removal technique listed as a manner of diagnosis!!

IMPORTANT: mIRC55t.exe is also the name of a file associated with the setup of mIRC 5.5 if the removal 
is on a mIRC 5.5 user be sure not to remove the valid mIRC file!! 

mIRC55t.exe – nick: Namehere – user id: mrsmart – Real Name: ‘type’ or ‘typehere’ 

Step 1: /alias unload

Step 2: /run attrib -r -h -s mirct.ini

Step 3: /unload -rs mirct.ini

Step 4: /remove mirct.ini

Step 5: /run attrib -r -h -s mirc.ini

Step 6: /unload -rs mirc.ini

Step 7: /remove mirc.ini

Step 8: /remove pkmkni.cfg

Step 9: /remove poo.txt

Step 10: /remove bud.coo

Step 11: //say $findfile(c:\,mirc55t*,0) (& remove all copies) 

Step 12: /run attrib -r -h -s c:\autoexec.bat

Step 13: /play c:\autoexec.bat (You are looking for C:\Windows\winn.com)

Step 14: /run notepad c:\autoexec.bat 

(Delete the C:\Windows\winn.com line then SAVE & EXIT)

Step 15: /play c:\autoexec.bat (C:\Windows\winn.com should be gone)

Step 16: /sreq ask

Now you will need to restart your computer and return to #AVA for the final steps when 
you come back online. 

Step 23: //say $findfile(c:\,mirc55t*,0) (the result should be 0) (or 1 if they have mIRC 5.5)
