 ..what is Scania?

  It's an AMIGA demo group.


 ..started by whom ?

  It was formed by Henrik Sandström (Wildcat) and Christian Björkqvist
  (Beast).  This was meant to be a pure AMIGA team but due to school
  Beast bought a PC (dx2-66).  So Wildcat organized the AMIGA and Beast
  the PC.  Today, almost 2 years later, Beast is working alone on the PC
  with help from the amiga members.  We believe in an integrated AMIGA-PC
  team. (Most AMIGA)



 ..when was this group formed ?

  In the end of the summer of 1994.



 ..why did it all start ?

  After that Beast and Wildcat had been mailswapping for about a half
  year and talked alot of joining the same team so they could develop
  their ideeas together, they formed SCANIA.  A lot of inspiration came
  from the AMIGA team DEFIANCE.  They seemed to have a great friendship
  and all members lived close to eachother in the souther-east part of
  Sweden.  Opposite to other swedish national teams this was a local team
  were all the members knew eachother.  In this way the ideea and
  information don't have to go throught the leader, this means a faster
  and a wider team.



 ..why the name SCANIA ?

  Do we have something to do with the big swedish truck company SCANIA ?
  NO!

  Scania was the best name we came up with while we were lookin for
  names.  Scania is the name for SKÅNE in latin and SKÅNE is the county
  of Sweden were we come from.  It's here we have been brought up, played
  in the park as children and it's here we have been forced to eat our
  porridge every moring to become big and strong men.

  We try to keep a local team. All members except Transactor are from
  Skåne. He's the ONLY exception and he's studying in Kristianstad and
  that's in Skåne.




 ..history (chronologic)

  As mentioned above Wildcat and Beast started Scania in 1994.
  Shortly after Transactor joined as a musician.
  In the beginning of '95 Mange teamed up.
  Just before the Party V Kervin and PB strengthened our team.



 ..Scania at parties?

  '94 The Party IV         Transactor,Wildcat.
                           PB and Kervin too but in other groups.


  '95 The Tranarp Parties  We are always there.
      The Party V          PB,Kervin,Wildcat.



  '96 The Tranarp Parties  still there...

                     the party in Fredericia.
