New! If a man spends a year at the bottom of a bog dressed in his best suit, it's a good guess that something went wrong. As for myself, I'd hesitate to go for a swim in my second best suit... E-publishing with Ebookomatic |

Welcome to my spot on the Web. Read about my crime stories and click up free chapters of each of my books. I'm also offering thrillers other than mine through links to frequently updated bestseller lists.
What's your definition of a thriller? An old-fashioned story in a Sherlock Holmes style? A puzzle in the spirit of Agatha Christie? Or the crime story with that headstrong Chief Inspector? Perhaps you prefer a mystery approach? And do you mind if a thriller is seasoned with humor and intimacy? Perhaps you want a blend of all of this. If so, you have come to the right place. In my fiction, excitement and surprise mix with smile, passion and relaxed philosophy. And don't worry, there's action too. |

I'm proud to share my world of thrill and mystery with you and introduce my easygoing versions of detective stories with streaks of fun and intimacy. Private Investigator Freddy Larson and his sidekick Robin Webster never hesitate to put their feet in any mess they come across. If there is no mess, Freddy Larson will produce one. |
When Freddy Larson makes up his mind to become a private investigator, police representatives start chewing their nails. A Fatal Similarity is the first in the series, but each story stands alone. A Fundamental Blunder takes you on a trip to the wasteland of the human mind. Dainty Hamburger is not about fast food and not all the Hamburgers are dainty. Basic Manipulation is about...you're right, manipulation at all levels... |

You won't slip on a lot of blood in my stories, but you will stumble across thrill, passion and fun along with carefully delineated characters. |
|
Women play leading parts in my stories, perhaps the leading parts, but they come and go like all good things do. All they have in common is an appetite for playing that same old game. |
|
Nor is it necessary to be a devoted crime story reader to appreciate the humorous accounts of Freddy Larson's misconception of investigation work. If you like, enjoy the books as contemporary novels and consider the plot a spicy element. |
|
Except for in A Fatal Similarity, Chief Inspector Robertson pops up from time to time to state his opinion on amateurs who put police investigation in jeopardy and expose policemen to deadly danger. |
|
"...Freddy tapped his pen on every object within reach, a sign that his brain was working. The only sign, Robin used to say..." |

When I was twelve, my father took me on a trip to Central America. Back in school I wrote an essay about this marvellous summer holiday. Swordfish, sea turtle, vultures and Maya Indians were involved. Everyone, including my teacher believed that my imagination was running away with me. That's how I learned that truth and credibility isn't the same.
Ignorance is just a previous stage of understanding |

Gothenburg, Sweden happened to attract worldwide attention during a summit meeting that counted President Bush and Prime Minister Blair among the delegates. TV pictures showed a town in chaos. True, but it was the same old battle between the police and some demonstrators. The people of Gothenburg are used to great events like the World Championships of Athletics 1995, the European Championships of Soccer 1992, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie and Rolling Stones outdoor concerts. But they are not used to destruction for destruction's own sake. It's not fun to see your town being demolished. This is not the Gothenburg you will meet in my books. Since foundation, international influence colors the dwellers. Twenty percent have other origin than Swedish. That's why it's natural that one of my leading characters is a Briton. The respect you give is the respect you have in return |

" Artful block letters on a sign informed Robin that the entrance fee was an incredible seventy-five dollars. He stared at the figures as if trying to hypnotize them into a more human amount. The platinum blonde behind the desk kept displaying her pretty teeth in a welcoming smile, probably hoping he was considering paying an extra twenty-five. She wasn't used to customers who spent their own money. In her experience, sex club visitors had loads of credit cards, none of which connected to their own bank accounts. Robin returned her smile..." Basic Manipulation |
