Four new tracks off New York label Metaphor Recordings. First out is a decent contribution from Kerri Chandler called Right Now, a good track but nothing spectacular. Here is also a deep and dark track by JoVonn called Get Down. These two well established artists adds nothing new to their style of production - but it is two strong tracks for the bin. To see the next turn of deep house music we have to turn to the other two contributions.
Music Of Love by, for me unknown Jask, comes up with a bass driven anthem for large dance floors.
Second track on this compilation is a deep track called The Rhythm by Melvin Moore. The Rhythm builds on a snare loop, a funky bass line and a voice over narrative, rather than vocals. Relentless beats driven to its aboslute peak, fractions of changes in the beats makes this a groovy winner on this set. Pick it up!

Another debut from a talented New York singer. Marie St James´s Closer I Get is the deep house song to put on before the club turns on the light. The house mix is excellent and the Lounge Mix is lovely with stripped beats, keys and vocals. More soul than house, but you can dance to the beat. Don´t sleep!

A deep song from JoVonn. Not as deep as last years Pitch Black EP, but deep enough for jazz. JoVonn´s new track Joy with Stephanie Cooke on vocals is accessible and nice.
