Hey You, this is a good dance single. The first cut from Pete Rock since The Main Ingredient with CL Smooth four years ago. Rockīs solo album Soul Survivor due for release beginning of November is a collaboration with over twenty rappers and a toaster.

Tru Master is the first single from that project. Static, scratch and blasting horns: "Ladies and Gentlemen, are you ready for star time?". It is one of those cuts that will move you to the dance floor so fast you didnt even knew what hit you. Old school or new school - who cares? Itīs good music.

Lucinda Williams might be considered a country singer - she is not. Lucinda Williams has written a new album with down to earth songs about life, loss and love. The music has no groove, itīs not dance music, or soul music for that matter and yet the album is full of soul and a very honest statement from a serious artist. Donīt sleep on this one!

On Buena Vista Social Club a selection of Cubaīs finest and oldest musicians created a unique blend of traditional and contemporary club music in a studio in Havanna. The special event was recorded by Ry Cooder, who also plays guitar on some of the songs.

Buena Vista Social Club was released last year, and I didnīt think I would like it, so I didnīt bother to check it up. A couple of weeks ago they played some tracks in a record store - and I was stunned. Good music - give it a shot!
