Uninstalling Internet Explorer 3.0 for Windows 95/NT

If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0, follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 4.0.

A few important notes before beginning:

• These instructions are for uninstalling Internet Explorer 3.0 under Windows 95 and Windows NT. If you
  use an operating system other than Windows 95 or Windows NT, you'll need to follow different
  instructions.
  
  
• You can also get instructions for how to select Communicator as your default browser.
  
  
• If you do choose to uninstall Internet Explorer, you'll first want to convert your Internet Explorer Favorites
  and Internet Explorer Mail address book into Communicator-compatible formats.

Remove Internet Explorer 3.0 by following the instructions below.

1.Quit all programs.
2.Click Start, move to Settings, and select Control Panel.
3.Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
4.Select the Install/Uninstall tab and then click Internet Explorer 3.0.
5.Click Add/Remove.
6.Click Yes.

If uninstall does not work or you encounter other difficulties, please see our additional information. If your
machine came with a of copy Internet Explorer 3.0 already installed, you may not find Internet Explorer in the
Add/Remove Programs panel. In this case please see our additional information.
