so when it's done I will

Todays news will be short
and concise.
Except from that I've worked
several hours with the music
and produced a very weak
result (darn tracker!!), I've decided
to work a little on the
story and again, if things works out right,
we will see results there
too. For the tracker job, I think I will
need to get hold of some
really cool samples, because this is a
really cool game! Over
and out.

I have coded all the graphics
rutines and all other low level
routines like keyboard
handler is ready. Currently the game
runs in 640x480 16bit colors
(65535 colors for those not familiar
with the binary system
;) Quad had some request for 32bit color
but i don´t know,
personaly i think 16bit is enough.. Any
comments Quad, Mantiz?
I have some problems (and have had
since the begining) with
collision detection on the maps but i think
I have found the problem.
All the map handling and tile handling
routines are ready. The
tiles are 40x40 pixels and the maps are
16x10 squares. The game
currently runs 104 frames/sec on my
200MHz, but beware the
code is far from ready.

I Have done the intro logo
for our team, the team name is now
Genius. I have also started
with the main caracter, I hade
already done the main character
but i trashed him and started
doing him in to a 3D model.
Get over to the Picture section and
you can get a first look
at him... but there is still alot of work
left on him. As you see
he doesn't have a skin yet.

I have so far 1 tune done
complete with samples and everything,
and 4 others I need to
make some sample editing as well as some
minor notedata fixes. I
have had lots of other things to do
recently but if everything
goes well I will be up and running now.
I have also made some equipment
lists, and after I got that
through, I will start working
on the password algorithm. This will
be a hard piece of work!
I need to talk with Melkor about that,
though. The story and beginning
of the game is soon to come!
That's all for now, folks...
