Robert Anton Wilson

Robert Wilson was born on Jan.18th, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. Son of John Joseph (a long- shoreman), and Elizabeth (Millie) Wilson; married Arlen Riley (a freelance writer) on Dec. 14th, 1958: children: Karuna, Djoti, Graham, and Luna (deceased). Education: Attended Brooklyn Polytechnical college, 1952-57, and NYU, 1957-58; Paidea University in Cotati, CA, Ph.D. in psychology, 1979. Actually, Wilson added the Anton as an adult. He wanted to have a different name appear on his books than "Robert Wilson." He followed the example of William Carlos Williams, who substituted a family name for his middle name. His wife, Arlen Wilson, died after a long illness on monday the 24th of May 1999.
