I love the countryside of Yorkshire! Here are some photo's. Click on them to view them full-size!
Here I am beside the fence that is the first sign of the location of Gaping Gill, a large deep pothole. The hole itself is surrounded by steep grassy slopes and a slip down any of them would lead to a fatal fall!
I'm keeping a safe distance here as
down behind me is the black darkness of Gaping Gill. Here the
large stream called Fell Beck tumbles over the edge of the
pothole straight down, over a hundred metres, into a large
underground cave chamber.
