Dallas Texas 1998

I was living in Dallas the first time during August to December 1996.
Of course I did the must do things the first time I spent in Dallas. What people first asked me was if I had been to South Fork. Ok, that's a must do thing. Especially if you are interested in the Ewing Family or if you are here on a few weeks basis. It's fun to have been there but there is not much more to it. There is a lot of other stuff to do in Dallas.

Dallas is a typical US city and it could be difficult to find things to do. So it's important to know where to go and what to do if you want to the trip a blast. There is a Downtown but not like a typical European kind of "Downtown". You need to take car wherever you are going (as of the rest of US) and it is not obvious to find out the places. So I hope this could help yo out to enjoy your stay in Dallas!


The way to get around is of course by car. What I appreciated in Dallas was laying by the pool and get burned by the sun. Most of the appartment complex have a Pool and other facilities like Tennis court, Beach volley ball, Basket, and a barbeque grill.

Things to do in Dallas

Cinemark Cinema or Loews Cinema. There is a big business for movies in Dallas. A lot of the cinema offers Stadium Seating.
Steak House's........................................ There is a lots of them.
Reunion Tower....................................... Take the elevator to the top of the tower. You will get a full view of Downtown and surrounding cities. Dallas is not as big as you think!
Reunion Arena NHL............................. Go and watch a NHL hockey game, Dallas Stars rocks!
Galleria.....................................................

Woow. Here is the place to Shop. A huge size Galleria where you'll get lost if you don't how to get around in the Mall.

Travel in Texas

Amarillo Palo Duro Canyon............... This is the next second largest canyon after Grand Canyon. Of course it is located in Texas!!
Corpus Christus.................................... This must be the nicest Coast area of Texas state together with South Padre island.
South Padre Island................................. Coast Side The most south point of Texas State next to Mexico.
San Antonio - The Alamo..................... San Antoio is very nice city to visit. It's famous restaurant area with water channels is cousy and the restaurants serves a lot of good food.
Galvestone................................................ Is also a nice place to visit. It is located right south of Houston 2-3 Hours of driving. Here they have a similiar carneval of the Grande Mardi Carneval originally located in New Orleans
Houston.................................................... Hoston is calling, Looking good from here! Its small step for me but huge step for mankind! Houston Space Center is fun to have been at. You can touch the moon in a with material collected from Apollo missions.
