What is an image and what is the reality aing reproduced?
What is the message the reproduction wants to comunicate?

Films, photography and other documentational material reproduces reality. This in actuality means that reality is altered. The film-maker chooses which parts of reality he registers and in doing so he chooses to delete the rest. The choice depends on the creator's perception of the situation and on the message he or she wants to communicate.

In an attempt to get children to understand these abstract concepts and to stimulate htem to develop a critical view of mass medis, we have developed the CHILDREN MEDIA KNOWLEDGE Method for practical and theoretical weod with film, TV and video.
