<Knaeve> Will positive magic's (heals and buffs) effectiveness be effected by concentration, or will that be a function of intelligence exclusively?
<GL-Jeff> Very good question. Positive magics such as heals will not be effected by concentration, HOWEVER, positive effect spells such as sheilds will
<GL-Jeff> This means the ideal healing races will have high NTL, but not necessarily a high CNC. However for shielding yourself, you're going to need both a high Ntl and Cnc. ntl will determine how strong the sheild is, Cnc will determine how often it works.

<Cronniss> Other than already posted creatures (like dragons), what kinds of cool critters can we expect to see in the lands of Dawn?
<GL-Jeff> Basically we're stickin to classic fantasy. You'll see the standard creatures, lion tigers, bears, and you'll also see the classic fantasy creatures, pixies, orcs, etc

<My_Name_is_Bob> I heard that we might not be able to see how hurt a person is just by looking at them. If this is true then how will healers know when to heal their friends in battle? (My wife suggested a skill called "Assess wounds" on the Beta board if you're interested in reading it)
<GL-Jeff> Assess wounds is a good idea, but it would be quite a hassle.
<GL-Jeff> Via psionics, you will be able to get status reports on your group members.

<Kaim> If someone is on horseback and are hit with a ranged attack (or melee for that matter), will there be a chance of them being dismounted? What penalties will be associated with being dismounted (ie damage from falling, spots before eye <instert chuckle here>, etc.)?
<GL-Jeff> Everytime you get his there is a chance you till be dismounted. The chance is proportional the the strength of the blow.
<GL-Jeff> Being forcefully dismounted will cause damage to the player.
<GL-Jeff> and slight disorientation.

<JLBesser> Does tatooing a guy require willingness?
<GL-Jeff> Like many other things in the game, tatooing will require the consent of both parties. No tattooing sleeping friends. Of course this is perm death so you can always threaten someone with their life if you really really want to brand them. Humiliation is part of life and part of Dawn.

<Knaeve> To what extent do you plan on revealing things like damage equations/how material or immaterial specific stats are to specific actions/etc. For example: unlike EQ, I'd like to learn that dexterity is virtually worthless BEFORE investing a ton in DEX gear (yeah, I know that dex isn't a stat in Dawn).
<GL-Jeff> We will reveal our equations in words, not in formulas.
<GL-Jeff> AFter we finish all the formulas we're not going to say "dex helps so and so"
<GL-Jeff> we'll say "dex is linearly associated with so and so"

<Ombrenoir_TSC> what are you feeling on people going around to ther message boards and flaming Dawn on an issue that doesn't even exsist?
<GL-Jeff> Nobody likes ignorance...
<GL-Jeff> but its something thats inevitable so u just learn to live with it
<GL-Jeff> Dawn is controversial by nature, some people don't like the idea of another "reality" and will fight the idea of it being possible.
<GL-Jeff> But we have no intentions of letting these people effect us in anyway.

<Brisk> , Will their be restrictions on who/what you use magic on? (ie: can you heal a monster?)
<GL-Jeff> There will be no such restrictions.

<Kaim> What disadvantaged will you have while on horseback?
<GL-Jeff> I can't give you exact numbers at this time but i can say that when on horse back you will have greatly lowered coordination.
<GL-Jeff> And cnc
<GL-Jeff> especially when in motion
<GL-Jeff> this will make it very difficult to use ranged weapons when on your fast, and bumpy horse, but it won't make it impossible.

<GL-Jeff> We're on target for Spring 2001 for the beta. everything is going as planned.
<GL-Jeff> We'll be giving you more screenshots as we get them.

<THE_REAL_VYKROMOND> QUESTION: I tried to ask this the last Q&A. Will we be able to 'hire' wandering NPCs for jobs? IE if theres a homeless NPC, can I decide to give him a job as an armourer in my city, providing his items and job, pay, etc.? Can I tweak the paramaters, IE along the lines of getting a REal Estate NPC to sell deeds of land that the peron would then present to me to get a lot in the town?
<GL-Jeff> The issue of selling items while offline is something we are addressing.
<GL-Jeff> We're implementing special safes that work sort of like vending machines, so players can sell goods to wanderes while they are still offline.
<GL-Jeff> However, the hiring of NPCs to do chores will probably not be a big part in Dawn, its simply too easily exploited.

<Arathur> Could it be made possible for players to have the option whether or not they want to download the custom graphics such as coat of arms?
<GL-Jeff> I suppose we could implement something that would allow clients to disable the download of custom graphics, but we wouldnt recommend it. the graphics are simple enuf that even on a 28.8 you shouldnt experience any lag problems

<ZenGhost> I'm wondering about play balance as far as skill raising goes, i.e. will 3 level 10's be able to kill a level 50..do the stat templates work in a similar way to say Asherons call?
<GL-Jeff> I can't comment on the stat templates, but the general rule for level balance is that the sum of your groups level determines your power.
<GL-Jeff> For instance 5 level 10's would be roughly as powerful as a level 50

<Kaim> ]Will people become "winded" while after running (for example, they have to catch their breath)?
<GL-Jeff> Everything in the game is based on your constitution, be it physical or mental. Running will lower your constitution in the samee way the swinging a sword would, if you emppty i tcompletely then i suppose you could consider yourself "winded"

<JLBesser> Will there be replenishments for constitution, and what will they be? Posibly will better foods help with this?
<GL-Jeff> definitely not
<GL-Jeff> We dont like the idea of little items like healing potions etc
<GL-Jeff> We dont want the outcome of fights to be dependant on who has the most bananas in their inventory, we want it to depend on skill and stats.

<Lotharin> There has been quite a demand for hobbits/halfling/hoblings/etc., will the list of final races EVER be changed to satisfy the need for them?
<GL-Jeff> We're doing something special with the halfing race and they will not be a starting race.
<GL-Jeff> Remember, the ever mysterious specie loop hole could allow you to become a halfling if you played your cards right.

<Sorcerer_Gregory> What is the rate of aging, is it related to the length of days?
<GL-Jeff> For PC's aging doesn't play a huge part in the game
<GL-Jeff> you start out as an infant, that lasts for about 30-60 minutes, in the mean time you are pretty helpless.
<GL-Jeff> After that you are fully function but dont look small and young, it takes from a week to a month (real time, not play time) to fully mature
<GL-Jeff> after you have fully matured there will be an age limit, as there is on every specie
<GL-Jeff> however the PC age limits will be on the order of 10 years, so you dont have to really ever worry about dying from that

<BlakFlame> will there be rideable flying creatures?
<GL-Jeff> Yes

<_stella_> Girlie Question: Considering EQ makes all their females look like half dressed blow up dolls, and AC is all about androgny- do y'all plan to balance things a little more for girl players?
<GL-Jeff> The whole game is about balance.
<GL-Jeff> Both men and women will have attractive proportions.

<Knaeve> If pregnancy requires a week, it seems like it will be very difficult for RL friends to play together as you've said you intend to make possible-it'd be very hard to coordinate a week long incubation with someone wanting to create a new char. Hmm, that's not a question is it... Well, I know all that's spawning engine issue related, so I wont press for a specific answer, but any comments?
<GL-Jeff> The fact that pregnancy lasts a week actually makes it easier to coordinate being born to a friend...simply because you have a whole week to enter in the request.
<GL-Jeff> Just wait till one of your friends is pregnant with a child, then anytime during that 7 day period you can go to character creation, make your character, assign him to the parent (with the parents permission) and be born at the proper time.

<Morlack> Any info on when ur going to start releasing some spell shot video's?
<GL-Jeff> Probably not for a while, those will be some of the last thigns we do graphically.

<Tiney> what limits are there to PvP ?
<GL-Jeff> Guys can't attack girls and girls cant attack guys
<GL-Jeff> j/k, there are no pvp restrictions of course

<Adill> When can we expect to see some more 3d concept art of the other races?
<GL-Jeff> very soon...razm when do you expect?

<The_Og> will I be able to stuff bodies of dead PC's and NPC's, or will the decay after one week still apply?
<GL-Jeff> you won't be able to stuff whole bodies, but you can detach heads for ID purposes which can be preserved thru taxidermy

<Brisk> Will their be any unique types of armor that aren't found in other games of this sort? and if yes could you site a few exmaples? (By different I mean , capes for instance or glasses/eye patchs? )
<GL-Jeff> The armor itself will be pretty standard, however you can wear some armors over other armors, such as a cape over ring mail

<Dolgo> How will you be moderating the amount of RolePlaying in the game? If Dawn becomes as large as we all hope, it would seem nearly impossible to inforce roleplaying on the entire community. What are the exact consiquences for walking around and acting L33T L1K3 A H@x0R?
<GL-Jeff> OOC behavior will be treated as insanity
<GL-Jeff> There's no telling how the gods will react
<GL-Jeff> but that doesnt mean you have to worry about always staying in chracter
<GL-Jeff> if you are with your friends talking to yourself about ooc stuff, not bothering anyone, then we dont have a problem with that at all

<Cronniss> Will it be possible for someone to break the concentration of a spellcaster who currently has a spell that s/he is powering (keeping the magic flowing into it)?
<GL-Jeff> definitely, thats a big part of the casting system

<_stella_> How are classes/skills going to be handled?
<GL-Jeff> There are no classes, skills are divided into categories of varying confliction.
<GL-Jeff> which means you can't just practice at any two skills, healing and necromancy for example may conflict to a degree that you simply cannot be profecient at both.

<THE_REAL_VYKROMOND> QUESTION: You [jeff] have said that although we will have full skills after we pass infancy, we will not look the part. Will our height/weight parameters be affected? If so, WHEN will the 'base templates' take effect? And will weight actually affect anything besides- well- our weight?
<GL-Jeff> you can expect to "fill out" within a week to a month after infancy.
<GL-Jeff> your height and weight will be reduced until then

<Ombrenoir_TSC> If you are willing to take the time to Code horses to make them Kite proof, why isn;t it possible to use some of that same coding and convert it for the chars of Dawn. It seems as if more people want varible speed then the ones who don;t want it.
<GL-Jeff> Because when you are on a horse thats a status change, and its the status change that allows us to implement the non kiting features.
<GL-Jeff> The features that make kiting difficult for instance, are the lowered CNC and CRD...we cant lower these stats when you are on a horse.

<BlakFlame> Will I be able to ride a dragon
<GL-Jeff> Its possible
<GL-Jeff> but its no easy task to obtain a dragon baby, and make him your follower

<JLBesser> Ok, in regards to all of the spawning info coming out, how much control will we have over the location where we are born?
<GL-Jeff> None unless you choose your parents.

<Eibon> In regards to kidnapping/imprisonment/ransom, will there be safeguards to keep it a roleplaying issue rather than a harassment or general disruption issue?
<GL-Jeff> Yes if you don't say "huzzah" at the end of every message you send to your kidnapped victim you are banned from the game for harassment.
<GL-Jeff> huzzah!

<My_Name_is_Bob> Is Psionics a skill that would work well with someone who has healing skills?
<GL-Jeff> Yes because it would allow you to know your teamates stats

<Razkir> Will npc's set up their own governments and elect their own leaders?
<GL-Jeff> You betcha

<Zubido> With a giant map, houses are a good idea. Will You be able to steal houses or be able to secure you house so it cant be stolen?
<GL-Jeff> You can lock the door.
<GL-Jeff> You dont have to worry about anyone hauling it away on a flatbed truck if that is your concern.

<Ionix> will there be islands on dawn? tropics? is there an equator? is one area of the world colder and another hotter? like the poles on earth... also, if someone were to think of alternate fantasy creatures other than the cliches... like orcs and such.. can we send them in to you to be considered?
<GL-Jeff> Yes there are different climates depending on where you are and how much sunlight the area receives.
<GL-Jeff> You can write all suggestions on the beta tester input board.

<The_Og> How will tatoos, symbols, and general designs which can be placed on armor, stones, etc., make it into the game?
<GL-Jeff> There will be a crude user interface that will allow you to paint, etch, etc designs in the game. there will be no importing bmps or gifs

<Zenko> Will you be able to pickpocket people and what stats will increase this ability?
<GL-Jeff> Yes to pickpocketing
<GL-Jeff> The stats taht affect it are Crd and Agi

<Pelf> When you are born into the world, will you have any form of a weapon present? Or will you have to find wood or ore and make one, even at level 1 when it will be difficult?
<GL-Jeff> Remember...you are born as an infant to parents.

<GL-Jeff> an obvious answer should follow.

<Aura_Darksoul> How will players be able to show emotions to one another? I know in EQ there were emotes. Will there be a system like this in Dawn? Or will it be something completely different
<GL-Jeff> There will be an emote system like in EQ, but EQ's emotes were kind of lame and OOC in my opinion. Our emotes will be bindable to keys for fast access and aimed for battle communication and stuff like that

<Brisk> This question is rather hmm 'silly/stupid' but , Will we be able to see spit in dawn? Many people would use the spit emote as a form of disrespect however you enver saw it? Will you guys have a spit graphic that can land on armor or on someones face and then drip off?

<Zubido> If you drink beer tto much as a mother, can you baby be crippled or is that unfair to the character that was born?
<GL-Jeff> Nah, in fantasy games you can drink whenever you want.

<Aura_Darksoul> can you move and cast spells at the same time?
<GL-Jeff> Yes, but its not as easy

<LordDrayke> I was wondering as to how the stat advancement will be handled. Will the rates of increase change with how much you focused during character creation upon a certain stat? and will the more you use a skill which uses a specific stataffect the possible increase in said stat upon lvling?
<GL-Jeff> Stats go up when you level
<GL-Jeff> the amount they go up depends on your base stats
<GL-Jeff> plus you can choose to focus in a stat each time you level in order to further customize your stats

<Pelf> When pursuing a foe who is running away, how are we going to be able to kill them? They can just sprint away. But if they sprint away, we will have to sprint after and will then lose our stamina and be unable to fight...even catch them for another shot.
<GL-Jeff> Its a tricky situation, Running hard makes you lose constitution, swinging your swords makes you lose constitution. whoever uses their constitution the wisest will win. That is if the sprinter uses up all his constitution with a fast sprint then the pursuer can jog up to him and kick his butt.

<Cerebral_Vortex> Hello, I'm glad I made it here . My question is this: Will one be able to solo in Dawn? Not having to depend on a group like in EQ.
<GL-Jeff> Yes, because NPCs and PC's use the same stat system you should always be able to kill an NPC that is a few levels below you granted you have suffeciently trained your stats and are a skilled player.

<BlakFlame> will you be able to have a loyal NPC wife? or a kid w/ and NPC
<GL-Jeff> No. Having loyal NPCs be anything other than followers (which are attained at level 1 and you have to level them yourself) cause an imbalance in the game.

<Milfranic> when one dies due to a bug, or lag, how/when will the "Gods" respond?

<GL-Jeff> (Actually to better answer the previous questions: YES but they have to be a follower, they can't just be someone you find and bribe to be your buddy)
<GL-Jeff> Well if you die to a bug then we will definitely revive you.
<GL-Jeff> Lag is a touchy subject because our AI will be good enuf to get you out of any situations you have gotten yourself into.

<Raging> How do you plan on implementing magic as 1: its own type of damage, and 2: Casting... Will you learn a spell, and cast it from your knowledge, or will magic spells be item based solely?
<GL-Jeff> They will be item based solely, different spells have different levels of power.

<JLBesser> <Thoth> Will the Language Filter be a strickly random based filter, based on race....or will there be a Standard Filter applied to all races, therebny allowing for a purely player constructed "Diplomatic Language" to be able to be created?
<GL-Jeff> it'll probably be random, trust me its a lot easier to learn a language in the game than it is to invent a whole new language yourself

<Dris> will water be displaced when struck by objects (ex a rock from cattapult)? You know, ripples waves, that sort of thing?
<GL-Jeff> Yes it will cause ripples, just like it says on the screenshots page

<Morlack> can you cast a spell and swing a weapon at the same time? (knaeve asked me to ask )
<GL-Jeff> Some spells yes, some no

<Ionix> when do you plan to start publicizing (sp) dawn... talking to gaming mags, producers, getting the word out? and will you close the beta tester acceptance once you do? that would make sense if you were only searching for the hardcore gamers for beta testing....
<GL-Jeff> We're just now starting to reach out for publicity, there will be some changes shortly upcoming because of them - none bad.
<GL-Jeff> We will not stop accepting beta testers however, there will be mainstream gamers in the release, thus there will be mainstream gamers in the beta. its the only way to properly test
<GL-Jeff> however collecting the "hard cores" at the beginning did serve a purpose, but that will not be revealed.

<Dolgo> Why a purple Sky? And, how is Dawn's water blue, if water color is a reflection of the sky.....cobolt deposits on the ocean floor?
<GL-Jeff> There is a reason, but thats soething you will have to research in game
<GL-Jeff> astronomy isn't the only research worthy science in dawn

<Cronniss> During last Q & A, you had mentioned that you had been toying with the idea of MAYBE letting players add our own music. If this is available, what format will the music be in? (example, will we have to write it in tabulature format, or upload a .wav or something?)
<GL-Jeff> If we include music it will be in our own format
<GL-Jeff> It will be similar to midi in that it will be note based, but it will NOT be midi format

<Milfranic> what kind of mechanisms are in place to prevent item duping, hacking, cheats, etc?
<GL-Jeff> Telling you would only make it easier to get around them. So we will not tell you.

<Ombrenoir_TSC> will you be able to gain Exp while in NPC mode? By programming the AI to do a tak that will gain you exp?
<GL-Jeff> We're not sure if there is going to be a programable NPC mode
<GL-Jeff> but if you got lagged and you were taken over by NPC control, yes you would get experience from anything you do
<GL-Jeff> but most likely all forms of AI will try to make your character sleep as soon as he can

<Cerebral_Vortex> Will the UI in Dawn provide for optimum viewing? AC has a good UI setup, EQ has horrible UI.
<GL-Jeff> Our UI will feature movable windows, and fullscreen playability
<GL-Jeff> If you have an exceptional Config setup, all you should really need on the screen is a cross hair
<GL-Jeff> this will definitely make the game more immersing if you dont see stupid OOC windows at every corner

<Arathur> What's the status/progress on the flight engine?
<GL-Jeff> All movement has already been programmed
<GL-Jeff> We currently fly around in the world freely...its fun

<Brisk> Will we be able to throw things? I have great expections ot be the cause of many Bar fights / Tavern Brawls in Dawn and I want to see some broken bottles / plates flying etc.?
<GL-Jeff> You can throw any item in the game given its light enuf for you to pick up

<Aura_Darksoul> will all creatures be able to be tamed? or will there be some that you ahve no chance in the world to tame? Will creatures be able to out grow their taming if their owners do not keep it up?
<GL-Jeff> when you make a creature your follower he is your follower for good and will obey your every command.
<GL-Jeff> We're undecided on whether to make some species untamable.

<Zenko> Will there be grappling hooks or other such items in Dawn?
<GL-Jeff> Grappling hooks were real fun in DM quake
<GL-Jeff> hmmm
<GL-Jeff> add it to the beta tester database

<Sebastian_of_Dawn> Earlier you mentioned a vending machine style of offline selling. Can you explain how this will work with the notion of no built-in currency system?
<GL-Jeff> A tradesman will put an item in the "vending machine" and will program the machien to accept certain types of payment, such as 100 gold nuggets, 10 bushels of wood, etc
<GL-Jeff> then if the buyer gives this amount to the machine they will be rewarded with the item
<GL-Jeff> and no the machines won't ever steal your money

<Arathur> What I meant in my first question about custom graphics, I was referring to player made graphics, would it be possible for those who wanted to spend the time d/ling to do so and see it in the game while others don't?
<GL-Jeff> the only player made graphics will be made in the game itself
<GL-Jeff> you will not be allowed to import outside grpahics into the game

<Brisk> Could you give us some insight into the breaking point of Objects? What I mean is will everything have HP? IE: if i'm in jail and I keep hitting a brick in the wall what determines when the brisk breaks? Or if I break a bottle , what determines how many times i haveto hit it?
<GL-Jeff> everything will have HP, if you imprison someone you can't just leave them there and expect them to be imprisoned forever, because they can slowly eat away at the structures hp
<GL-Jeff> this is a nice feature when it comes to harassment issues because in order to keep someone imprisoned you really have to spend the time to do it

<JLBesser> <Grapler> Will there be display cases?
<GL-Jeff> The vending machines will serve as display cases

<My_Name_is_Bob> How is constitution restored or brought back to its optimal level? Is it by resting or other means?
<GL-Jeff> here we go
<GL-Jeff> Just resting

<Razkir> Will it be possible for certain creatures to move PC's? IE: My boat sinks, I'm swimming in the water, and a shark grabs me by its mouth and carries me to wherever.
<GL-Jeff> yes, player physics is very well developed
<GL-Jeff> you can move and bump people
<GL-Jeff> drag them too

<Milfranic> Death- how difficult will it be to get a ressurection? The reason I ask is, some people lose interest altogether after lettign a 12 month old character get wasted by a joykilling player character.
<GL-Jeff> You have to realize this is a PVP game, players will kill other players and for joy. Its not a bad thing.
<GL-Jeff> Expecting to keep the same character for the entire time you play the game is about as foolish as expecting to keep an individual Ogre alive in a game of Warcraft2.
<GL-Jeff> But ressurections will exist but will require the taking of another life of greater or equal value.

<Cerebral_Vortex> What happens if you go "Link Dead" while in the middle of battle? Will your character finish out the battle then go into automation?
<GL-Jeff> Your character will IMMEDIATELY be controlled by the same AI that is controlling the creature(s) you are fighitng....which means if you are more powerful than the creature (which you should be if you expceted to survive in the first place) then youi will defeat him.
<GL-Jeff> then if you stay disconnected the AI will attempt to make your character sleep and gain invulnerability

<ZenGhost> as a follow up to my stat question...the concern I have with a constant pvp/one death environment, is if it's easy for a group of low level players to PK a high level player...that sort of wipes out the notion of permadeath. Ok I get killed, so I get a bunch of friends to start throw away characters and go mob the person that killed me
<GL-Jeff> leveling difficulty is constant
<GL-Jeff> what this means is the following:
<GL-Jeff> if it takes you 10 days of game play to get level 50, it will take 2 game days to get level 10
<GL-Jeff> people can't just "whip up" a bunch of level 10 characters to defeat your level 50
<GL-Jeff> it takes just as much time to create 5 level 10 characters as it does to make 1 level 50 character

<Brisk> I'm aware of things like tatoos ,carving , and coat of arms but would it be possibly to allow cities/kingdoms to make their own flags inwhich to take into battle/put on a pole within the city or nail onto the city gates?
<GL-Jeff> Yes you will have your own Signs and Flags

<Sorcerer_Gregory> How about changes in features, ie the appearence of you chr?
<GL-Jeff> We *might* have a scarring system
<GL-Jeff> but for right now the only way to change your characters appearance is through items, tattoos and body painting. and if i'm not mistaken we are the only MMORPG to offer all these.

<Brisk> will you have any quests that affect your character in a more hmm direct way? (ie: The fountain of Youth which would keep a player young )
<GL-Jeff> Everything about your player can be altered, from his age, to his stats, etc.

<Gandalf_> if you'r baby is a npc and a "marked" devil would he be able to hunt you down and kill you ?
<GL-Jeff> anyone can hunt you down and kill you
<GL-Jeff> if you give birth to a baby whom you suspect to be a devil, then you have an interesting choice to make

<GL-Jeff> The collision detection will be more advanced, but there may still be instances where parts of polygons intersect where they look like they shouldnt. its impossible to do collision detection based on every polygon when you have over a million objects in the world each with several hundre polygons.

<GL-Jeff> no, but some crazy wrestling game is excepting beta testers now if you're interested

<GL-Jeff> The amount of time it takes to go to sleep will depend on the activities you have recently done.
<GL-Jeff> If you are in the middle of a war dont expect to be able to go to sleep with arrows flying by your head. you need to relax to go to sleep.

<KarasuToshio> Will there be any monkeys in the game? And if so.. will we be able to ranch em?

<GL-Jeff> Not innately, but there are methods to make it so you can survive underwater indefinitely

<Kylara> i understand everything done is in character, but will there be a way of having private messages between characters ? will you have to be close to them, such a s whispering to them or can it be done anywhere ? or will chat be restricted to those around you ?
<GL-Jeff> There will be private messages, they will be send via wisp couriers (sp)

<Brisk> Will you guys be putting in any hmm 'backdoor' type features (ie: Asherons Call had a line of code that made your inventory turn into pong? (Note: GET MEN WITHOUT HATS - SAFETY DANCE)

<Kunae> Question Will intelligent creature's responses to your killing thier children/loved ones/friends be realistic as per, if anyone witnessed and told said parent? Or will it be more amorphous and instant hate no matter if they were sleeping when it happened and you were on the other side of the globe from tehm when you did this.

<GL-Jeff> if you kill someone before they have a chance to send a private message to someone else and if no one is around to witness it then you could get away with... murder

<GL-Jeff> There aren't bankers "around" unless people decide they want to be bankers
<GL-Jeff> You can take a chunk of iron ore and refine it into a more valuable iron coin
<GL-Jeff> and that would be the currency
<GL-Jeff> but there won't be representational currency, all currency will most likely have innate value, in that it can be melted down into raw materials that can be used to create other items.

<Kylara> if it is total pvp without restrictions, what if someone uses fowl language will there be rules prohibiting that ?
<GL-Jeff> If someone pisses you off by being stupid in the game then you can kill them...thats the beauty of it.
<GL-Jeff> but we will not be doing any social policing if thats what you are asking, its not our job to make sure everyone is saying "nice" words

<GL-Jeff> Its a possibility, but you dont even know for sure that good people will be helped by good gods

<Brisk> As far as not letting in alpha testers can you consider this? What if I offered a bribe? (i'm serious some ppl joke about this but money makes the world go round?)
