Roger Kynard Erickson born in Texas 1947. The child of an architect who had emmigrated from denmark and a opera singer with strong biblical preferences. The mother, Evelyn, forcefed the five Erickson-children with stories about eternal damnation etc. all according to her strong religious beliefs. But Roky, who was the oldest one, pretty soon felt himself drawn to horror series, violent B-movies, drugs and rock and roll. At the age of fifteen he started his first band The Spades and soon after he had dropped out of high school he showed the world what a great songwriter he was, with the excellent "You´re gonna miss me".

The youngest of four children, Peter Allan Greenbaum was born on october 29, 1946, in Londons working-class East End. At the age of ten he was given a guitar by his brother. "My brother showed me a few chords, and I took of." Peter played bass in several amateur bands before being invited by keyboardist Peter Bardens to play lead in his band, Peter B's Looners, in early 1966. It was here that the nineteen-year-old guitarist first encountered Mick Fleetwood, the group's drummer. (All Music Guide)

Throughout most of the 1990s, Monster Magnet struggled against the prejudices imposed upon image and sound by alternative rock fashion nazis. However, thanks to that movement's decline in recent years and the band's dogged persistence, their fourth album, Powertrip, catapulted to gold sales status with the help of its massive hard rock hit "Space Lord." They also became one of the most successful and influential bands of the burgeoning underground '70s-influenced metal scene, frequently called stoner rock. (All Music Guide)

Following a succession of name and stylistic changes, the Cult emerged in 1984 as one of England's leading heavy metal revivalists. Picking up the pseudo-mysticism and Native American obsessions of the Doors, the guitar-orchestrations of Led Zeppelin, and the three-chord crunch of AC/DC, while adding touches of post-punk goth rock, the Cult gained a dedicated following in their native Britain with mid-'80s singles like "She Sells Sanctuary" before breaking into the American metal market in the late '80s with "Love Removal Machine."
