Learning :
The learning function ensures that the remote will work
with any audio/visual product, no matter how obscure.
Teaching the remote a new set of codes is carried out
by pressing the key sequence to initiate programming and placing
the two remotes so that they face each other. Each key on the
original remote is then pressed in sequence followed by its
corresponding key on the 8-in-1 remote.
Room-to-Room Control :
With the RF function, the remote can be used together with an
IR Powermid to allow audio/visual components such as a satellite
receiver to be controlled from any room in the home.

First
and foremost, the 8-in-1 remote is truely the most flexible
Universal Remote Controller that you will ever purchase !
It has been designed to replace up to 8 remote devices and with
its Learn function, will also replace the most obscure !
The 8-in-1 remote transmits both Infra-red and Radio signals
when any button is pressed. This feature allows devices such
as TVs, VCRs and Stereos etc, to be controlled using the 8-in-1
remote from the same room or other rooms, providing the correct
receiver unit is installed.

Entertainment
Example 1 :
Watching a video on the bedroom TV, when the VCR is downstairs.
This is easily achieved due to the 8-in-1 transmitting Radio
signals to the Powermid unit which is situated facing your VCR
in the living room. The Powermid retransmits these signals in
Infra-red which in turn commands the VCR to Play, Stop, Rewind,
etc. |

Automation : By adding the TM12 transceiver
unit, you can now control electrical appliances, lamps and lights
from the same 8-in-1 remote ! How does it work ? Example 2 :
As previously mentioned, the 8-in-1 remote can transmit Radio
signals. These signals are intercepted by the TM12 and retransmitted
in electrical signals which are sent around your house electrical
wiring system.

| These signals are picked
up by small plug-in modules (similar to a multi-adaptor). The
modules in turn react by switching On/Off or Dim/Brighten whatever
electrical device has been plugged in ! |
