As I slept last night
in my lonely bed
you once more came into my dreams.
Your beautiful smile
and your wonderful eyes,
as deep and dark as the night,
were all I could see,
all I could sense
in the dark, the dead of the night.
I turned in my sleep,
but stayed still in my dream
not wanting to lose you from sight.
As every night,
since many a month, I was once more lost before your face.
The torment I feel
every night in my sleep,
and the pleasure and wonderful love
are a mix unbearable
at best, if not worse,
but I would not want to lose it at all.
Your smile and your eyes,
and your very being,
is enough to keep me content.
Whether in my dreams
or near me when wake
I feel warmth from and love for you.
Let me lose myself
in your deep, dark eyes
as I have lost myself in them before.
Let me be you near,
forever more,
and my life will be forever fulfilled.
