Donation
In 1947 Wallén donated all his money and his house "to a school
of crafts for talented youths".
At this school the pupil should have the opportunity "to study
in his own way - not as at other schools, where the pupil was forced to do as he was told".
Here he should "train his eyes and hands" and become "a competent craftsman and a good man".

His house and studio is today premises for the administration of the Swedish craft guild.
The school has up to 1997 been called "Hantverkets Folkhögskola"
(The folk high-school of craft), but will from now on be called
"Företagarnas Folkhögskola" (The folk high-school of manufacturers).
