This is a listing of my bootlegs
Primarily Rolling Stones, other artists
are found at the bottom of the list
My rankings of the
sound is in five steps:
bad - fair - good - very good - excellent
|
| By saying Bad,
I mean that only a diehard fan would want to have that recording. It is
close to impossible to listen to for a casual fan. On the other end, Excellent
is about the same sound quality that you get in legit releases. This is of
course a personal judgment that is concluded, and a recording I have
classified as fair may very well be considered as good or even very good
by someone else... and of course, the opposite also holds true.

Bright Lights - Big City
Demo recordings Jan 28/Feb 2 - 1963 and Live during the British tour,
March 5-18 1965
Early demo recordings that sounds like early demo recordings. This is the
short version of the CD, that is just a copy of the LP with the same name.
Fair quality considering the age of the recordings.

Stereo takes of the songs on

Very good to excellent sound quality. A joy to listen to the tracks in

Electronically Reproduced variety. This is definitely better in every
respect...

Mainly good to excellent sound quality and a joy to listen to, since it

recommends it hands down to anyone that want to have a look at the early
Stones.

Baltimore 1969
Live in Baltimore 1969
The 1969 tour of the USA probably was the tour that once and for all
rendered the Rolling Stones the epithet The Greatest Rock 'n Roll Group In

sound. This has a pretty good quality though.

find the same sound quality as on GYYYO. This is audience recordings with

Blind Date Revisited
The New Barbarians & The
Rolling Stones - Keith Richards C.N.I.B. benefit concert, Oshawa Civic
Auditorium, Toronto, April 22 1979
A soundboard recording, the first CD with The New Barbarians, comprised of
Ron Wood (vocals, guitar), Keith Richards (guitar, vocals), Stanley Clarke
(bass), Ian McLagan (keyboards), Bobby Keys (saxophone) and Ziggaboo
Modeliste (drums), the second CD with The Rolling Stones, featuring Ian
McLagan (keyboards) and Bobby Keys (saxophone).
There's a different edge to the two CD's, since The New Barbarians has a
very strong Ron Wood touch, and also sound quite a bit like The Faces, but
both are really good in performance, and the sound is excellent.

Dirtiest Work
Outtakes from the Dirty Work
sessions July - November 1985. Recorded at RPM Studio & Right Track,
New York, USA
I am one of the admittedly very few who really love Dirty Work, and my
fondness of that CD is inherited by this gem. Wonderful collection of
outtakes, excellent sound quality. Sly Stone is featured on a couple of
tracks.
This is really a must for everybody that likes the hot rhythm section and
rough, angry sound of Dirty Work. For those that never play Dirty Work,
and who can't stand the sound of it, beware of this CD, it isn't for
you...
