A new Rolling Stones World
Tour begun to roll September 3'rd 2002 in Boston, USA. The last
tour? I don't know, the last 10 or so tours have all been labeled
"the last tour" by journalists who seems to have little
else to write about.
It is a pretty big event for us, the fans, when the Stones announce
a new tour. That can also be seen since the Stones still are among
the fastest sellers of concert tickets in the USA, and probably also
in the rest of the world. The presently announced USA leg of the
tour will probably be followed by dates in Asia, Australia and
Europe. Read more about the tour dates at The Rolling Stones Fan club of Europe
Me? Oh yes, I'm on track - I did fly to Chicago Sept. 12'th and home
again on Sept. 30'th, and in the meantime I did catch six shows -
Comiskey Park and Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, First United Center
and Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, and finally Madison Square
Garden and Giants Stadium in New York City / New Jersey. Best show?
Aragon Ballroom, without a doubt. To see The Rolling Stones in a
theatre is something very special that I wish every fan could
experience at least once. I was very fortunate to get a ticket
through friends on the Undercover
mailing list.Oh,
one thing about the "Ego's Bootlegs"
page and that picture you'll see - the dedication is really for real -
I was there when Mick signed it for her. It was really cool when he
stopped his limo to sign for three fans hanging around outside his
hotel in Philadelphia 2002.
