These pics were taken on a birding trip to Runde, off the Norwegian western coast. It's the southernmost bird mountain in the world, and has literally thousands and thousands of puffins, gannets and kittiwakes nesting on it. A great place to go, especially if you just sit on the cliffs at sunset, when the puffins come in to roost, or sneak up on great skuas on the heathland on the other side of the mountain. Highly recommended trip for anyone who wants to see some great scenery and some birds. Bring a raincoat though :-). Click on the thumbnails below for a bigger picture.

Here's all the people who went, or 'the rowdy bunch'.

View of the village on Runde, called Runde, for some reason :). This was taken from a sheep pasture up on the mountainside.

A Gannet in full flight, pretty impressive birds close up.

Puffin roosting, although this one is pretty far away from us compared to how close they all moved once i ran out of film. The little bastards :).

Great Skua roosting on the heath on the eastern side of the mountain. Yes, I'm really that close, it's taken with a 135mm lens.

Monika, rounding off the species list :).
