I'm a 26 year old swedish man who goes by the name of Mats Erik Axel Anders Nylund, interested mainly in computers, aviation, birding, photography and the understanding of the female mind. I currently live in Örebro, a town in central Sweden, and I'll put a map on here as soon as I find a good one, in case you want to visit me :-). My heart lives in Monterey, Californa (map), though, as I spent the three good years of my life there, and I'm trying to get back there if I can. Meanwhile I work as a phone sales agent for Sitel Nordic and a freelance writer for swedish PC Gamer. I also just started doing homepages for people, although I've only done one so far, and it's not even finished. You can check out a rough draft though, if you're interested.

What have I done with my life?

• 0-18 Growing up, school, the things young people do, although less wild than most.
• 19-20 Lived in a small house in the country (which I conveniently rented from my mother), with a girl named Maria. Got interested in photography, worked as a forklift driver for 6 months, and did my mandatory military service (10 months as a radio operator/truck driver). When Maria and I broke up I moved to the nearby city, Örebro.
• 21 Lived in a basement in the city, working for an environmental organization for minimum wage, but having a lot of fun. My friend Anders told me that he was going to California after christmas, and wanted me to come along.
• 22-24 Studied photography/computers/general ed at Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, California. Worked customer support for Symantec (at UCA&L) for one summer, and worked as a clerical assistant/secretary on MPC for two years, half time. During this time I also managed to meet some pretty amazing people, like my roommate Bill and my girlfriend Nancy (both of which were probably the best thing that could have happened to me, although in different ways :-). I eventually went home to Sweden for a while to get things together, and vowing to return.
• 25-now Well, see the first paragraph. I'll update it if something revolutionary happens. I've now got roughly 50% of my friends on the net, and 50% in real life, and I'm reasonably happy, only I'd like a good job and a woman who won't build her entire life on me. What can I do?

• I speak English (with a Californian accent) and Swedish (With no accent, I hope) fluently, Norwegian, and Danish adequately and a little bit of French. I also understand Icelandic, German, Dutch and some Latin, more or less.
• I can drive cars, trucks and forklifts (have drivers license for car).
• I can learn and/or figure out almost anything (my greatest talent).
• I've got a lot of computer experience, mainly with Word, Excel and Works. I can work in MS windows, MS DOS, Mac OS, Amiga DOS and know a little about UNIX. I've also got a very vague grasp on C++ (haven't had the incentive to learn it real well, yet). I've also got a wealth of experience in games (playing :-). I've got a fair grasp on HTML, but judge for yourself :-).
• I've got some experience in photography, mainly photojournalistic. I've taken several college photography courses.
• I'm a good writer.
