Housewarming

Right, preparing for the big housewarming event here. Not that I think it'll be anything special, the usual guys are coming, and we'll all hit the pubs afterwards, or rather _the_ pub, "Stallyktan" which means "the stable lantern". Kinda like "Cheers", where everybody, or at least Micke, the bartender, knows you name. It'll all be good fun though, and I won't even drink, I'm driving this merry crowd to the pub.

My room looks more like a home now, and I have to admit that I sleep a lot better here than I ever did in my dads basement out in the boonies. I like to hear the sounds of cars in the distance, and little noises of people running their taps or whatever. It makes me feel safe.

My brothers are running around the place at the moment, being sarcastic as usual. I just heard the following conversation:
"Are people expecting us to _arrange_ anything tonight?"
"If they do, they can go fuck themselves."
That's about the average conversation here, all in good fun of course, although I have a slight suspicion that it'll get tiresome after a while.

Had another job interview today, at a telemarketing company, and it seemed kind of OK. I've worked with that kind of thing before, and it's potentially good money. It's also got the added benefit of being within less than a minutes walking distance of my main hangout (although not recently, because I'm to embarassed to let the owner give me a free coffee, he does that a lot when he knows I have no money, once explaining it with "You're here more than I am" :), Cafe San Marino. Owned by this fairly young immigrant it makes me think that people _can_ make it in this world...

Ride Forever is totally offline for a while, something about her X boyfriend having problems with his knee, and she has to help him get around. Well, I miss talking to her, and for that matter everyone else I haven't seen for a while, Little Lover, Kaly, Harumi and all those. It still amazes me how you can grow so attached to people you've never physically met, but I guess we do meet, mentally. And I'm glad I have those people, even though I have a Real Life (tm).
