Reading the family trees
The trees were generated from a family tree program (see links). The first page that you will come to in each of the four trees is an Introduction card. Click on the Home card link to start looking at the trees. The family information is organised around a "Family card" (in the example below, the links are simulated and not active).
In the example below, the "Family card" is the family with husband Thomas Hilliard Martin Sr. and wife Ethel Coveyduc.
bd. - birth data
occ. - occupation
edu. - education
rel. - religion
dd. - death data
brd. - burial data
bpd. - baptismal data
emd. - emigration data

Clicking on one of these names opens a page with more information about that person,
including a picture (if we have one). If there is a picture, it is indicated on the familt
card by a little camera icon (
)
beside the person's name on the family card.
Above the pair is their
m. - marriage
Above that is shown the parents of the couple. Clicking on one of them opens up the Family card for the parents.
Under the couple is shown any children that they have together, in order of their ages. Clicking on a child opens up the family card for that child.
At the bottom, are a few links for navigating within the particular tree. The link to Index and Surnames can be especially interesting since they list all the people in the tree.
