We stayed with Czech students

It was was exciting to stay with our Czech host families, where the mothers did a lot of cooking and baking. Who wouldn't want to wake up to the smell of freshly baked apple cake, finding yourself surrounded by high mountains.

You will need good grades to be accepted at the Gymnazium in Decin.The population of the town is equal to that of Haninge, but each year only two new classes are admitted.

The speed of progress in Czech schools is increasing. The Gymnazium has computer rooms with access to the Internet and a language laboratory. In 1999 the school celebrated its 100th anniversary with a lot of festivities.
