You'll find news in Cantonese from RTHK Radio 1 that were digitized and uploaded to this web server
automatically everyday, at the end of the news program.
These files are large (~2.5 MegaBytes), so evaluate the network loading before retrieval.
About 30 days of news programs are kept.

Here's a experimental demonstration project to assess the viability of making
small segments of news broadcasts from the Irish national radio service
available on the Internet via anonymous ftp and the World Wide Web. The
RTE Project currently brings you several minutes of news headlines from
RTŠ Radio 1 in Dublin twice daily in the form of digital sound files.

An automatic software program records Radio Amsterdam's news programs hourly
(from 7AM to 6PM) and stores them in digital audio .au format on the web.
It's in Dutch. (It's an FM station - thanks Gerben Vos)
Each (1Meg+) file in the set is overwritten once each day.
The latestnews.au file contains the most recent hourly news.
So you can download periodicly and get the news without changing the filename.
The public maintainers e-mail address
at the University of Amsterdam is public@cs.vu.nl if you need it.
There is also a WWW service they provide.

This gopher is associated with Radio 927, 6NR.
Radio 927, 6NR broadcasts a program called Online, which deals
with the latest in computing and information technology.
It is broadcast every Tuesday evening between 18:00 and 19:00 (local time).
Online has regular contributions from various places, including in an exclusive to Perth radio

- Chicago Tunnel Company on Pirate Radio
They called their station The Chicago Tunnel Company ("Broadcasting from 40 feet below the corner of State and
Madison.) In reality, most programs were produced while sitting on the living room carpet in a north side of
Chicago two-flat. Their fearless leader used the historical pseudonym Reginald A. Fessenden, in homage to the
controversial radio pioneer. His homebrew transmitter sprawled the length of a coffee table, an elegant and tangled
mess of glowing tubes, hand-wound coils and vintage knobs, and alligator clips.

New York's CBS all news radio station WCBS has this slick WWW site,
complete with audio file download, program schedule, lifestyle, computer
"boot camp", sports, weather, "Ask the Mayor", and of course news.
Then there is the parent organization CBS Radio, if you desire more general info.

The CBS parent organization of over 500 affiliates, offers live broadcast of '96 NCAA,
MLB, NFL, talk shows such as The Mary Matalin Show, and has programs

Brent McNally lets us know about New Jersey's WJRZ 100.1 FM. The rock sound or should I say " Adult Contemporary " sound of the New Jersey coast for some 20 years, WJRZ's site provides us with the details, program schedules, promotions, the playlist, and what WJRZ is all about

KSCU broadcasts from the Santa Clara University College campus in Santa Clara, California USA at 103.3FM and
91.1FM San Jose TCI Cable TV.
- KTEK @ New Mexico Tech
KTEK is New Mexico Tech's campus radio station. It is funded and operated entirely by the Student Association. It is
currently only being broadcast via closed circuit cable on campus at 88.7MHz, but we are working on getting it across
the entire Socorro cable network. KTEK operates under an open format, meaning DJ's can, and do, program their own
shows.

Student radio is back on the air at the University of
Utah! K-UTE resumed broadcasting as a "closed circuit"
AM radio station on February 17, 1993.

Mike has put together a terrific collection of radio links and station details (down to the staff members) in
a tightly organized and highly efficient presentation. The Dial Pages read easily in a station by station sorted
by frequency just like your radio for each area he has put together.
He also offers a more traditional AM and FM list of links, also by frequency, but covering a wider area composed of
the United States and Canada. AM and FM radio buffs need to check this one out!
