Splatterchrist
-Great Death Metal from Estonia !
Splatterchrist will write hardcore music history in near future.
The quite unknown band from Estonia have planned a europeean tour
for the summer of 2001 that will probably give them a lot of fame.
It's not been officialy confirmed yet, but rumours
say they will visit St:Petersburg in Russia (!), Helsinki in Finland, Örebro in Sweden,
Denmark (-Roskilde ?). Germany, Holland, parhaps Austria
and finally Hungary.
Efter what we have seen this far,
we can expect a small-sized but rather spectacular rock show.
-Eat your heart out, Marilyn Manson !!!
S. first became known outside Estonia in 1996 as they played
at an underground club in Örebro, Sweden. Later they met
the estonian producer Adrian Mattis at Darkside Studios.
Death Metal was something new to Adrian, but he had earlier experiences
from other branches of the hardcore music.

Their first album, released 1998, seven tracks.
A quite soft-hearted collection of music
from a band that really didn't know where they were heading.
The lead guitarist Squeaker had just picked up his unique technique
that would become awsome on their next album.
Rabies is definitely not their best album, but a must have for the true fans.

Dead Meat differs a lot from their previous album.
Here they have put in the next gear and floored the pedal hard.
-This is real Death Metal, but it must be said that it's a bit of a
funny feeling to find the last track to be a soft ballad, sung in the
estonian language. In the track Following Judas is a remarkable solo
performed by Squeaker, that wrote history in the estonian Death Metal genre.
Dead Meat was released late in 1999 and contains 11 tracks.

They just get better !!! Sweet Destruction Machine is really cool.
Even though most of the tracks from Dead Meat stands strong on the
international stages, the S.D.M is something extreme.
The 16 minutes solo (Squeaker again) of Hell, Fire and Asshole
takes both your breath and ears, and may even fry your brain.
The batterist Zebbo also shows his talent in a new way
in the last track Braindead. It's thrilling to hear so much
power and energy from such a country as Estonia.
The guest artist Twisted Ted makes a good job backing up the vocalist Matti.
S.D.M. was released in january 2000 and contains nine great hardcore tracks.
-We do look forward to their european tour that is planned to the summer of 2001
and offcourse their next album which already have some songs written.
