The motive had lingered in my head for a week before I decided I would try to put it on paper. Originally I intended to paint a tear trickling down her cheek, but as I couldn't find any photographic references with tears, I left that one out... (call me chicken if you'd like, but I wasn't prepared to take any chances with this one when the result turned out as good as this)
