3T is really spoiled
by their fans
3T was in Holland to promote the
new single I Need You. And Break Out as there. Together with Taryll, Taj
and TJ we traveled in a luxurious limo from Amsterdam to Hilversum.
It's 3.30 pm and Break Out is on
it's way to Hilversum, where the guys have a radio perfor mance, together
with 3T. Luckily, it's very crowded on the streets, so we have plenty of
time to talk to each other.
And, did you have good grades
this semester?
Taj: Eh, no, actually we haven't
seen the school from the inside since this summer. This fall we've been
to Brazil, we are about to have our break through there. We don't have
time for school right now, because in February we'll start our world tour.'
Taryll: We'll even start I in Rotterdam,
so you'll even have the opening night.'
Taj: And in March we'll tour Asia.
That's the next continent where we want to break through. But we do always
carry our schoolbook with us! We don't want to neglect our studies.'
Will your new album still be
released in the spring?
Taj: No, we're sorry, but we just
don't have the time. The way it looks now, it will be October or November.
So that will take a while. But we are planning to release two new singles
in the mean while.
The single I Need You is doing
very well. That must be a fantastic feeling.
Taryll: It's a great feel ing.
Yesterday, it came into the charts at number two in England. Of course,
we are really happy about that. Hope fully it will be number one next week,
that would be the perfect christmasgift!'
Is there a special story behind
I Need You?
TJ: It's about how some one can
be dependent on someone else's love.'
Taj: It's a very old song. I think
it's from the 70's. To be honest, when our producer Dennis Pop came with
the original song, sang by Eric Carmen, er didn't like it at all. But when
he let us hear what he made of it, we fell for it. We thought it was great!'
No time for school, no time
to record a new al bum, not even time for girlfriends?
Taryll: Unfortunately now, no.
Love and our work just don't go together! We're always on the road. You
can't do that to your girlfriend. We don't think that's fair.'
Taj: We just can't fall in love
for the time being, that's the price we have to pay for being famous. We
hope that after we've re corded our next time we'll have some time for
ourselves and for a girlfriend.'
But that's in a year! Be ing
in love, making love, having a girlfriend. Don't you miss that?
Taj: Of course we do! It's hard
sometimes. Love is very important. When there's someone who cares about
you and loves you that can inspire you to do big things. But, you can't
have everything. And the fans love us, even though that's some thing totally
different.'
What do you think of the Dutch
fans?
Taj: Not to suck up or anything,
but the Dutch fans do have a special place in our hearts. Why? Because
they don't put themselves in the front. They're not hysterical. Actually,
I see the fans here more as good friends!'
The three of you still live
with your parents. How about moving out of the house?
Taryll: Those plans have also been
put on hold for a little while. We don't have time to do anything, let
alone moving out of the house. We're not in a hurry. We get along great,
so why would be spilt up. The only problem is the studio. It's too small
and if we would have a place of our own, we could have a bigger studio.
But that also has to wait till we've recorded our next album. Hey, we're
gonna be busy!'
You're around each other for
24 hours a day. Don't you ever get tired of each other?
Taj: We get along just fine. Anyone
of us does the things he likes. If I want to wear my hair differently,
the others have got nothing to do with that. We're almost always together,
but that doesn't mean we have to approve of what we do. I do what I want
and I wear what I want. There not something like a 3T- image that we have
to stick with. We love to be ourselves, so we are!'
Taj: I don't like shopping. I hate
that. TJ and Taryll do like that.'
TJ:I love shopping. But that doesn't
mean I do it often. I'm also very careful of what I buy. I often see something
nice, but when I think about it for a second, I'd rather keep the money
in my pocket.'
Taj: Do you know how we get our
clothes? From our fans. Honestly! I've already gotten a lot of things from
fans. And really nice! Not those expensive brand clothes, but then again,
I don't like those very much. But just nice, comfortable shirts, that I
love to wear. It has to be said: our fans really spoil us. Fans thanks!'
