South Fork
South Fork is today the last stop for the local. West of South Fork in Derrick is a wye. It is still used to turn the diesels before the trip back to Alamosa. The tracks between Derrick and Creede hasn't been used for a long time.
The only industri depending on the rail road today is Stone Forest Products. It's a lumber mill. They ship wood chips and lumber. There used to be stock pens in South Fork between the yard and road. South Fork has one a the few remaining D&RGW water tanks. You can get some good pictures in South Fork when they use a Rio Grande GP40 as the power for the local.
