When all is said and done in and with the above, please remember that
the Professor-Doctor Martin Luther called himself, even in advanced years
"a child of the catechism."
His commentary in the Large Catechism on his exposition of the Creed may
serve as a study plan for ongoing adult education:
(LC420:70)"For the present this is enough...to lay a foundation for the
common people without overburdening them....they may on their own
initiative learn more, relating to these teachings of the Catechism all
that they learn in the Scriptures, and thus advance and grow richer in
understanding.
For as long as we live we shall have enough to preach and learn on the
subject of faith."
