- A military-simulations organisation founded sometime in the spring
of 1995. The organisations first active members consisted of Daniel Johnsson,
Mathias Petersén, my brother Ola Bratt, Aron Wohlström, Filip
Richard and my self Carl Bratt. All old swimming pals that got the idea
while looking through a Hobbex catalouge seeing a couple of soft airguns.
- The organisation did at one occasion apply for gouvernmental contribution
wich turned out to be of no profit and therefore never was accomplished.
- A lot of members have left the organisation exept for at one occasion
when we actually gained one. It was a new swimmer that became interessted
in our activity, referred to as Henrik Nilsson.
- The weapons has since getting gradually more and more technologically
equipped resulting in that the majority of the active members now are wearing
the absolute best in soft airguns such as f ex M16 A1 Vietnam version hop
up and XM177 E2.
- Henrik, Mathias, Ola and me fought a war in the autumn of -96, soon
a year ago, against another team outnumbering ours with nearly the double.
The first battles resulted in a terrible drawback on our side as a cause
of several weaponjammings (this was at the time when onley a minor part
of our team used electricaly driven weapons, only me infact, and my battery
was empty). As the dark fell in (and I had reloaded my battery in our car)
we sneeked up and kicked ass though, winning bigtime. Otherwise we practise
internal two against two combat.
- Our gear ressembles much of the one wearn by the USmarine corps as
it melts in good in the Swedish environment.. Three of our combatants has
been promotioned to "jeager first degree" as they in late summer
of -96 walked the rangers march (about 25 kilometers in aproximately 4.5h
of active walk including outside overnight). No photos taken.
For all those who do not know what soft airgun is and still belive that
they will find a particular interesst in it here comes a short description:
In soft airgun we use 1:1 scale real looking replica firearms that shoot
6mm plastic pellets. The length of the shot depends on gunmodel, but varies
from about 20-60 meters.
The mechanism used to shoot the pellets are also different but the most
common one consists of a spring that when released builds an airpreassure
in a metallic cylinder with an opening that emerges in the beginning of
the gunbarell. As you can see it works just like an ordinary airgun. But
since it is not as powerful and because of the low wheight of the ammunition
it does not make such a high velocity. Another mechanism is the one used
in CO2 driven weapons.
This is a summer sport since it recuires thin (but long-suffering) clothes
as you have to feel when hit, thus the pellets does not leave stains as
in paintball. This also recuires a 100% rely between the participants,
if one want a fun and exciting game, wich lead to a good friendship.
