"Ozo" is the Key
This is the first time I write about the star of the month, and we have chosen to write about the most important player in the power play,

The Avs are known as the team with one of the best power play in the NHL, with amazing players like Sakic and Forsberg. But, the most important player is actually a "defender" who loves to score and play offensive. Yeah, Iīm talking about the best quarterback in the league, the new Paul Coffey, Sandis Ozolinsh.
At first, we have to thank our General Manager, Pierre "FL" Lacriox, for the trade(s), which later, gave us the Stanley Cup. FL sent the popular scorer and powerforward, Owen Nolan to San José, and we got Ozo... the result of the trade is already known.
In Last years trophy ceremony in Toronto, Sandis was one of the three candidates for the Norris Trophy, which Brian Leetch later won.
In the beginning of this season, he was injuried (knee surgery) and missed nine games. During that time, Avalanche had a catastrophical power play. A dividend of 6% was not expected. The "Substitute", Eric Messier, did a great job, but he couldnīt replace Sandis...
Suddenly, When Sandis were back and played a couple of games, the dividend was 26%..... everyone know itīs not by pure chance.
