Other: Alexei is a very private guy off the ice, but his talent on the
ice makes up for that. He has recently been vulnerable to injuries. A
scratched cornia he sustained when he was high sticked in a game vs. New
Jersey was followed almost immediately by a concusion he recieve during a
physical game against Detroit. The concusion occured when he fell into
the boards at a strange angle and hit the back of his head. The fall,
caused by a shoulder check by Martin LaPointe, knocked Goose unconsious
and he was taken from the ice via stretcher. Gusarov is married to
Sandra and their one child is named Vasily.
