Other: Uwe is probably best known for his game winning goal from the right point that won the Stanley Cup for the Colorado Avalanche in 1996. The playoffs were the first games he played after returning from a knee injury he sustained in the first game of the season. He plays agressivly and is a character player for the Avs. When he retires he wants to move to Alaska to race his 12 sled dogs (plus 4 puppies). He has two sons from his previous marriage, Cedrick and Bjoran, who live in Germany with their mother. He is currently with his girl friend named Valerie.
