Currently Resides: Colorado Nick-Names: Eric Other:A rookie with Colorado last season, Eric Messier (no relation to Mark Messier) was discovered by the Avalanche's minor league coach, Bob Hartley while playing roller hockey in Montreal. He has been sent back and forth to Hersey, PA where he played for the Bears (The Avalanche farm team). This season he was recalled for permanent play with the Avs this season. Last season he finished fifth among rookies in PIM with a +9. After Stephane Yelle's departure from the "House of Batchelors", Eric has taken up residence with Rene Corbet and Eric Lacroix.
