Storming The Base Of The Alien Foe on CKMS 100.3
(Ontario, Canada, radio station)

NOVELTY "Natural"

I like the sound of his vocals from the start.. they're SO upfront in 'Things We Do'.

'Paradise' got me right away because of the chorus.. the tracked vocals are extremely smooth (synthpop vocoder.. mm)! But I also like the lower sung verse, not just doing the constant talking and talking vocals that synthpop tends to do.

Heh. Another synthpop voice that I like. Wait. I think I REALLY like this.

'Soul Of Mankind's chorus has me, as well. It's the lack of overdosing on daintiness, too.

Are those brooding synths I hear in 'Natural'? I think that's a synthline I've written, too. Heh. What an amazing song - though the chorus never really kicks as powerfully as it should, and it ends before it seems like it's over.

The club remix of 'Paradise' would have been great if they didn't just sample the one or two lines from the song and used ALL the vocals from it instead - I STILL don't know why that is that people remove the vocals for dancier remixes? Especially synthpop where it's not the vocals just sucking and being better gone. Shrug.
