Koh Samui

The real destination was Koh Samui, an island about an hours flight south of the capital, in the Chinese sea. It is an unspoilt paradise with palmtrees and deserted beaches. The Thai people are very friendly and always interested in getting my attention. I learned to wave to people on Koh Samui! I had to, there were so many people waving to me...

Here you can see our hotel, the thatched building in the background. It had nice wooden terraces with banana trees growing right outside our door. It took ten seconds to get to the beach, though I had to wait until the sun was past it's peak before I could get in the water.

Not to worry, Mamma & Daddy had thought of everything. I had my very own baby pool to splash around in, and there's nothing nicer on a warm sunny day...

Well come to think of it, it was nicer on the beach! I enjoyed sitting at the water's edge and playing with both sand & sea. I think Daddy enjoyed himself too...

I slept well after all that fresh air and sunshine. Mamma & Daddy stayed up, here they are relaxing after a nice meal at the restaurant:

There was more to do than just sit on the beach. We drove round the island and did lots of things, like visiting art galleries, zoos, waterfalls and we also took a boat trip to some nearby islands and national parks.

All in all it was a great holiday and we came back to Sweden feeling relaxed and refreshed. I hope all holidays will be as good as that one.
