Nawlins

New Orleans, or "Nawlins" as the locals say, is nice, but it's hot! We stayed in a quaint hotel in the historic French Quarter, just around the corner from Bourbon Street. It was a colourful place, and lively too. I haven't acquired a taste for Jazz yet, but when I do, I'll be back... Here's Daddy having breakfast on the balcony.

It was here we wanted to celebrate Mamma's 30th birthday, but it just wasn't her day! The restaurant we wanted to visit was closed for the weekend and on top of that, we had to cancel our dinner and boat ride up the Mississippi as Mamma caught a tummy bug. Only one thing to be done - go back again! Mamma & Daddy had great fun in the Cafes and restaurants none the less...

I though the food was a bit strange!

We even got to see the Olympic flame as it passed through the city on it's long and windy route to Atlanta, Georgia.
