LIVI is situated at Lugnet - a center for sports, education and recreation in Falun, within walking distance from the center of Falun.

Within the Lugnet area Dalarna University and Lugnet highschool is situated offering av wide range of education.

Falun and Lugnet has a lot of experience of arranging large events. Most famous is probably the World Championship in Nordic skiing last time in 1993.
