I have been using Laney amplifiers since 1996 and the recording of
Freak Kitchen's
second CD Spanking Hour. They have become a very vital part of my sound.
My "problem"
is when it comes to guitar gear in general is that I am so darn uninterested in it. Before
I find the power switch to a rack unit or whatever, I am bored to the bone. I just wanna make music and
play my guitar. The Laney amps and
cabinets provide me with everything I ever could ask for: rich tone, fat low end and tenability
for a rough treatment on the road.
I use the same set up for recording as for concerts. My main amp is the
Laney VH100R and straight GS cabinets. I also use the VC50 combo and am currently sinking my
teeth into the new TT100H.
There have been many e-mails
with questions about my settings recently so... Hope you'll find it useful.
I mostly use the high gain channel (lower channel on this picture). As for the upper channel(s)
the settings varies depending on what I am working on. The knobs indicates the settings for the VH100R and VC50. TT100H
coming soon.
