Mieko stood in the corner of the hall beside some broken colored decorating paper that fell aimlessly down from the ceiling and a few broken balloons scattered all over the dance floor. Sarah new it was a good idea for her friend to get out and meet some new people, because if she stayed at home tonight she would have made herself even more miserable. There were several of Mieko´s friends standing around her in a circle, contemplating who was to be the first on the dance floor.
