It was somewhat dark in the house of the Tucker family except for the light flickering shadowy figures from the open fireplace. Mrs. Tucker was sitting on an old Maplewood chair that had a dark blue and green tartan. It was the most comfortable chair in the house and she enjoyed working on her quilt while sitting on it. She turned towards her husband who was sitting with his legs up smoking a cigar and reading the time magazine.

"Do you know where Michael has gone with Chris tonight", asked Mrs. Tucker in a soft tone. Jack pulled the cigar out of his mouth and replied that they were off to a party near the lake. "Do you know if he will see that new girlfriend of his, he really does like that girl, he talks about her all the time and he seems so happy when he has seen her", "Not likely", replied Mr. Tucker as his smile could not be contained anymore.
