Radiograph of bottomset beds in the lower part of a 5.9 m long core from the Laitaure delta.

A soil sampler with metal foils was used for the sampling. This core was sampled in 1954 but not X-rayed until 1978, and as shown, the sedimentary sequence has been interrupted by desiccation cracks.
