Few could hope to match meganames like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, but
Jennifer Brown has the confidence, the charisma and the voice to do it.
Jennifer released her first single, the wonderfully infectious groove "Heaven
Come Down", towards the end of 1993. That came after a period of carefully
selecting songs along with producer Anders Bagge. The single flew to the top of
the charts in Sweden and Jennifer became a household name overnight. The album
featured Rhett Lawrence, who produced most of it and wrote two songs. Rhett had
earlier worked with Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, and both those ladies
would have had their work cut out to match Jennifer's performance on the
wonderful single "When to hold on". So what does Jennifer have going
for her? She is attractive, sexy, and sharp, and her voice has the scope and
emotive power that comes along once in a generation. She talks quietly and
smiles gently, but put her in front of a microphone and she's a star.
