    TRUCK NAME: Overkill

    MAKE: Ford pickup

    OWNER: Marty Garza (at the time)

    DRIVER: Marty Garza/ Jerry Richmond (at the time)

    TOWN/CITY: McAllen, TX

     

    INFORMATION: This was the first Overkill truck. This truck had 3 link air bag/ shock suspension. About a year after this photo was taken, the Overkill components for their new truck at the time, the Maximum Overkill, two tow rigs, & their shop was destroyed by a fire. The Extreme Overkill name & truck was eventually sold on to Kirk Dabney. Marty Garza no longer drives monster trucks, but is heavly involved with Kirk Dabney & the present Extreme Overkill.

    Executioner

    TRUCK NAME: Executioner

    MAKE: 1998 GMC

    OWNERS: Hall Brothers Racing, nc (Mark & Tim Hall)

    DRIVER: Mark & Tim Hill

    TOWN/CITY: Champaign, Illinois

    ENGINE SIZE: 572 Merlin Pontiac

     

    INFORMATION: Mark & Tim Hall got into monster truck racing by racing with the USA-1 team back in 1988.

    Their first monster truck which they built was called Big Boss.

    Their first Executioner truck had it's fair share of bad luck, with the truck having lots of technical problems & failed races at events. It all changed in 1996 with the Executioner truck being voted the Monster Truck of the Year on the Penda series. A bonus for Mark was being voted the 1996 Driver of the Year. The team was also voted Most Improved Team of the Year.

    Mark & Tim also built a monster tank, but no longer use it.

    Mark is currently the President of the MTRA.

    Little Tiger

    TRUCK NAME: Little Tiger

    MAKE: 1995 Chevy Pickup

    OWNER/DRIVER: Brian Barthel

    TOWN/CITY : Coon Rapids,Minnesota

     

    INFORMATION: Brian has been racing Monster Trucks for 3 years. He started racing Tuff Trux before moving on to racing Monster Trucks. The Little Tiger truck, was originally the Magnum Force truck. At the 1997 Truck Fest at Charlotte, Brian took the truck to the finals on both the Saturday & sundays racing. On the saturday he lost to Liquidator, but on the sunday, he won against Survivor. The Little Tiger is defiantly a truck to keep an eye on.

    Boogey Van

    TRUCK NAME: Boogey Van

    MAKE: 1995 Ford Aerostar Van (fibreglass body)

    OWNERS: Pam & Michael Vaters

    DRIVER: Pam Vaters

    TOWN/CITY: Hagerstown, Maryland

    ENGINE SIZE: 572cubic inch Ford

     

    INFORMATION: This is the only monster truck van currently on the racing circuit, & it's driven by one of the only female monster truck driver in the business, Pam Vaters. She claims that "The Boogey Van doesn't run right when men drive it!"

    She got into the monster truck scene through her husband Michael, back in 1984, working as crew chief for his truck the Black Stallion. It wasn't until 1992 after spending eight years traveling with her husband, she decided it was about time that she had a truck. Pams favourite opponent is her husbands truck, Black Stallion 2000.

    I met Pam at the Truck Fest in Charlotte, & let me tell you she's quite a babe!

    Rampage

    TRUCK NAME: Rampage

    MAKE: 1996 Dodge Ram pickup

    OWNER: Richard & Shirly Patterson

    DRIVER: Richard Patterson

    TOWN/CITY: Madisonville, Kentucky

    ENGINE SIZE: 572cubic ich Dodge Hemi

     

    INFORMATION: The Rampage truck was owned by Bear Foot driver Fred Shafer. It was sold to Richard in mid 1997. Driver Richard Patterson has been in drag racing, motorcross & stock car racing & then finaly monster truck racing.

    Bulldozer

    TRUCK NAME: Bulldozer

    MAKE:  1997 Chevrolet Pickup

    OWNERS: Guy & Debbie Wood

    DRIVER: Guy Wood

    TOWN/CITY:Blackwell, Misouri

    ENGINE: 572 Rodeck Blown & injected

     

    INFORMATION: Owner & driver of the Bulldozer Monster Truck, Guy Wood has been racing Monster Trucks for 10 years. He got started in the sport buy playing around on the weekends at a nearby race track. His truck started to be in demand, & hewas getting paid for it. Before he knew it, he was racing the truck full time. Five years ago Guy linked up with USA Motorsports, who keep him busy, with lots of show's & races to attend.

    The first thing which you notice about the Bulldozer truck, are the two big horns, on top of the cab. The hood of the truck also resembles a mouthe & nose of a Bull. Hence the name Bulldozer !

    Guy & his wife decided to move from their hometown in Milwaukee Wisconsin, to Blackwell, Missouri, three years ago to be more centrally located for all the traveling that they do, as they found it was to far living in Wisconsin.

    Guy said's that one of his favourite things about performing in his truck, is putting smiles on the faces of the people in the crowd,  especially the little ones!

    The truck is sponsored by : Oberto/Smoke Craft Beef Jerky, Technique Towing out of Fresno CA., Twin City Auto Body out of Crystal City MO., Optima Battery, Transmissions out of Imperial MO,  and Danny's Top Shop out of Festus MO. Without these companies, the Bulldozer truck wouldn't be able to carry on racing.
